On December 1, George Floras, managing Partner of BELT AND ROAD ASSOCIATES, had the honor to participate in the round table organized by His Excellency the Chinese Ambassador to Greece Mr. Xiao Junzheng, at the Embassy of China. The theme of the Roundtable Discussion was “Chinese and Greek Perspectives on Democracy: Past and Present, Theories and Practices”. It was a great opportunity to discuss the concept of Democracy, not just as a Trademark but as a way of governing which aims at the real participation of the Citizen in the decisions that concern him. In his short speech he mentioned that Democracy, like any type of Government, aims at the happiness of the Citizen, the happiness of the vast Majority. And it should be judged by the result and not by the theory of how it should be implemented.
